Yesterday I attended a forum on carbon pricing in Toronto with my colleague Megan Leslie, Environment critic for the Official Opposition. Sponsored by For Our Grandchildren, the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and the University of Toronto’s School of Environment, the event featured a panel of experts and a debate on how to effectively put a price on carbon in Canada.
Megan and I were thrilled to see hundreds of people turn out to hear from experts like Gray Taylor, who I first met years ago when we worked on environmental law in BC and has since established himself as Canada’s leading lawyer on climate change. After a lively debate there was a lot for Megan and I to discuss on the way back to Ottawa!
I’m pleased to be able to announce that Megan Leslie will be in Victoria on Sunday, February 15th to host a talk on environmental policy. Stay tuned for more details!
